Looking to take my kids out on a camping slash bird hunting trip with my kids next weekend. was thinking of going to sugar lake or mabel lake area. any htoughs on a good area close to Vernon that would be good for the kids? we are new to the area

Lots of lakes on the Aberdeen plateau. Doreen is probably a decent bet. Lots of traffic but a relatively nice spot.

Endless places up there to walk from most lakes up there. Mostly flat once your up there tones of game.
