Both last night and tonight I have heard a tom starting to gobble just before dark. When I gave him a little hen talk he just about lost his mind...So I guess Turkey season can't come soon enough...

A PS to Kishman ....This year we will get you one.....

I strongly recommend using a turkey head or a regular broadhead with spinderlegs grabbers mounted to the arrow shaft. The arrow should stay in the bird, as this will prevent him form taking off flying. If the turkey takes off it is a lost bird. A pass trough shot will not prevent the turkey from
flying away.

Sometimes, if nothing else is at hand (I am cheap), I mount a washer behind an old cut to the tip broadhead on which I cut the tip off. This works great too.
