Okay big spender here, money is no object!!! What is the best recoil on the market and why?
I am looking for a soft and supple recoil pad for my newly refinished Model 70 stock....

Pachmayr Decelerators look better than the Limbsaver, and they seem to work equally well. Edge goes to Pach in my opinion.

I have both Pachmayr Decel. and Limbsaver R3, can't tell the difference. Pachmayr looks a bit nicer.

Ha figures... all tied at two. Where to buy? I think I need a pretty small size
How does one get them to fit perfectly without messing up the stock's finish? Or do I not worry about that and redo the finish?

I prefer the Pachmyer ones. I've used them and Limbsavers. Limbsavers are good, too, though.
Go with theone you liek then best...

Another vote for Limbsavers. I have one on my Tikka and I went from shooting 16 or so rounds at the range to 24+, pain free. And they had a factory size to fit the tikka.

Pachmeyer Decelerator. Makes my lightweight 300WM shoot like a 243.
The gunsmith can trim up the pad to fit the end of your stock nicely.

I have a Pachmayr on my 338 and it works great. You won't go wrong if you buy one of these.

I just ordered a pre-fit Limbsaver for my Ithaca 37 shotgun from Wholesale Sports yesterday. I read good things about them. I would have considered a Pachmayr, but they don't make a pre-fit one for my gun. John
A Pachmeyer Decelerator made my Old 458 Magnum very tolerable

The decelerator on my 30/06 made a big difference, the 7mm is getting one next.

Can anyone forward me to where I can find out how to remove the stock butt pab from my Browning A-Bolt? It doesnt like the screw holes like most stocks - any recommendations?
Cheers
