It's great! Sheds wind awesome above tree line. Light enough to fly in, does take some getting used to setting up though.

Early season you can use a nest that goes inside the tipi.Several cottage manufactures will custom make one for you.http://www.mountainlaureldesigns.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=47&products_id=127

Depending on the tipi manufacturer they have the option when you order as well

Yeah, the Kifaru tipis have netting as an option. I have it, but have never used it.

I really like the Moose Hide ones, only set back is you need a pony to haul it from camp to camp. I've never been on a "Fly In" hunt, so I'm unsure if they will charge more to fly in the pony, you'll have to check with the airlines I guess?

Your link kinda looks like my bro in law's, his is 16 foot diameter, cost around 1000 bucks and would sleep 6 to 8 guys pretty comfortably, I think he got it out of Kamploops if I remember correctly, he built a little stove for it, his son and him put it up in about 15 minutes, I think he said it ways about 25 lbs without the center pole, they have instructions for using a small tree to stand it up....his only complaint is without the stove going there seems to be a lot of condensation and he's got a few little holes from sparks from a nearby fire...here's the best pic I have...
