To excited to sleep !

I don't know about you guys but when the leaves turn yellow and the time is nearing for my annual trip i lay in bed awake just thinking about stalking game.
One year the night before my trip I said F it i can't sleep anyways I'm leaving right now, packed my kit and was out the door by 1am drove all night across the province and was on a nice billy before the sun was going down.

Anyone else suffering from HSSD (Hunting Season Sleeping Disorder) :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

HSSD gradually diminishes after about 500 hunts. That is about the same time as the knees, eyes, back and hearing pack up. GH.

I got the same thing and we don't leave till friday for 6-4 .

I think as I get older and life piles on more and more responsibility, the anticipation of the hunt gets greater. And as I get older I am planning more extensive trips so that makes the anticipation more as well. In short, I am nearly giddy myself about heading out this year, 12 days to go.
