F350 Shortbox pick-up

Hi Guys, this might sound like a dumb question, but that's never stopped me before, Does a 2000 Honda 450 Foreman quad fit inside a F350 crew cab shortbox pickup? I am looking at a F350 King Ranch and don't want to bring it home just to try the quad. Thanks for your help, Ian :confused:

Oh, I should have added I tow a trailer and want to be able to close the tailgate. Ian

I wouldn't think so. I believe crew cab have a 6' box. You need an extended cab short box as they are 6.5' or a crew long

shortbox length is 6'5", but is actually 6'9".
longbox is 8', but is actually 98".

a 2000 Honda foreman 450 is 77.2" in length.
racks may add to that, I'm not sure.

Should fit.I have an 07 SuperDuty short box crew cab but I have a 2 up 07 polaris sportsman.The bike fits but I can't shut the tailgate.The foreman is a fair bit shorter.I say yes it will fit with tailgate closed.

one can always put something in on the bed to lift one end if needed.
that would get the extra length up and over the tailgate.
dad had a fullsize propane tank across the front of the bed of his truck.
he built some blocks so he could just run the front of the quad up onto the tank.

which reminds me of something I saw yesterday, and have seen a few times.
yesterday, saw a truck, I'm guessing the guy's worktruck.
had the really tall tool storage shit in the box.
the really tall sides that run right to the back of the box.
he had his quad stood straight up on end to fit it down the middle.
that can't be good for it, in that he'd need to let it sit for awhile at least before starting it up I would imagine.

I can close the tailgate on my '99 F350 shortbox when my honda foreman is loaded. The box inside longitudinal measurement is 82 inchex

My Yamaha 350 just fits inside my Tundra box. 76 inches with tailgate up. Can't close it with a Kawasaki 650. I'd think a Foreman is likely a little longer but the F350 box is probably longer than my '03 Tundra. Better take a tape!

My 350 bruin fits in with prob 6-8" to spare

Can't close the tailgate on my 6.5" F150 with my Grizzly 700.

Tires might let you close the tailgate, but the winch may punch thru your rear window on the first bump!

I'm looking at some sort of tilt system in my 6'6" D-max box for my Polar-ass. I run with the tailgate down because the winch is too close to the rear window with the gate closed for my liking.

I run my quad front tires up on some ramps and it is just enough to close the gate

F350 crew cab shorty with my 700 Griz ..larger tires plus winch run up to the front wall.. No issues with window breakage and gate closed... Like a glove fit!!

Straped back to front front to back.. No movement ...

It will fit. I can close the gate with my sportsman 500 in mine.

And if it doesn't fit just take the tail gate off for when you're hauling the quad and towing trailer

Redneck solution: wrap a tow strap around the tailgate and cinch it shut if it doesn't "fit"..........

For his sake I hope Its a gasser, if not stay the f@#$ away. Head-bolt/gaskets, egr cooler should be replaced as a minimum before I'ld consider a 6.0.

As for you question not sure it will fit but my buddy cant shut the tailgate in his shorty super duty and a 400 King Quad.
