A good buddy of mine and his wife drew a shared hunt tag for that area. They are from the island.
They are wondering about access to Tacheeda Lakes in 7-16. They had heard Red Rocky rd was not passsable.
Any clarification on the access and any major landscape changes around there?? They have hunted the area before, so were wondering about logging, access or any other changes.
Thanks
Cheers

Go to google maps. Bear lake to tacheeda lakes. Choose the alternate route via colbourne. Click directions. This is the route via the 700-800 road.

Exactly what Wild Dog said, bit of a detour but not bad.

Head in the 700 road, past winton global sawmill, before bearlake. Head to 714+or- a bit, and take the 800rd. This will bring you out by fish hook lake and the tip of the canyon. Then carry on to Tacheeda lake. Not much had changed in the last 5-8 yrs, cuts are tall now. Hope this helps. Moosin
