Any details on the trip or are you just looking for suggestions. Have you hunted there before? There's accomadations there? How much a night? How many people.

I am staying on my dads buddy property in my 12x14 wall tent me and my son who got a doe draw free and no haven't hunted there but now some people that have lived up there for 30+ years so got a lot of where to go

Hmmm good advice already here...keep calling..rut doesnt abruptly end on the 15th although first 2 weeks are better in Oct..water isnt as big a deal as it wss in Sept..keep calling 15 minutes by the clock...use cow pee..watch the wind...keep knives sharp..enjoy

Moose come down to waters edge more on a roun d shaped lake they use the benches above long ahaped lakes

Great area. We had that hunt two years ago. We saw a few bulls when scouting there during the great weather of late September. Once back in October and the snow had just arrived the bulls were all in hiding and it was cow/calf but not a bull to be found. Enjoy. You'll have fun. I'd offer advice but ...well, I wasn't successful so what would I know. :-)

Hmm moose requirements for hot sept...oct rutting..and nov are all different..as is how you go after them..in oct still use the advantage of calling...all of oct.

Keepin my fingers crossed, heading up to hathaway lk area on sept 27th-oct 4th. Like what I'm reading as its only my second mulie trip. Buddies got the group bull draw and had someone cancel so I filling the void.

Curious as to how you hunt moose in November?


I have found that you have to cover a lot of ground in November. We have had good success over the years in the Cariboo during late season. They tend to be bunched up more and don't move as much. We have found as many as 6 bulls together with a few cows sprinkled in the mix.

I would agree with this, get in the timber,still hunt them ,I have seen 7 bulls together with a few cows and on one occasion called in a small bull in November

I've shot all my moose in November and would agree with you guys.Cover lots of ground.
