Just seen my first wild turkeys. At noon yesterday 14 hens crossed Highway 3A just in front of me. Nice looking birds.

Yup, several spots along 3a hold turkeys. Lots of young ones this year.

Lots of little ones this year. Just saw a flock down the street yesterday. Some are still pretty small - need two for a meal.

Ok, You are aware that there are a two 3a highways in BC right?

- 3a loop north from Keremeos to hwy 97,
- 3a loop from Castlegar north to the Kootenal Lake ferry, and back down to Creston

Yeah, sorry. Just thought about it last night as I was wondering what route to take and Edgewood did not have WiFi at least where I was camped. It was 3A south of Crawford Bay. Also I said that they were hens only because there were no mature roosters, so they could have been young. The turkeys that I was used to were Cuddy's.
