My soon to be wife has shot a lot of deer in her life. Her dads a big hunter so she's taken many 2points and spikes but she's always wanted a big one. Me on the other hand always have ducks on the mind to really chase big game much. I kill ducks. She kills bucks.
After a few long days and lots of country seen at her families cabin I decided to sleep in Sunday morning and cook breakfast. She headed out with her dad and first cut they passed a truck coming down so she figured there'd be nothing. They hit the end of the truck road and hit a small atv trail. Not 100 yards further off the main road 6 does and this guy were standing there.
She hammered it with one shot from her new gun I bought her for this season. It was almost identical to her dads .243 Winchester so it was very familiar to her. It was a bang flop. Alittle high but took out tops of the lungs and bottom piece of the spine.
All cleaned and caped and packed up. We went from 0 degrees in the morning to 30 rolling back into the lower mainland. Hit the butchers and my taxidermist before it could heat up too much.
I guess I know why I'm marrying her hahahhaa
