Moose responding to Elk Mews??

Today I was sitting a clearing and calling with my Hoocie Mamma mew call and I have a bull moose approach. Has anyone else experienced that?

On two separate occasions we have had bull moose grunt at us when cow calling for elk.

Thanks for your comments. Unfortunatly here in region 4 it is spike fork bull only. I might have had a freezer full of meat if the regs were abit different.

two different bull moose in same area came in to elk calls one year, I did notice a high bull to cow ratio at the time. they also would start to beat up trees and grunt at me when just walking near them too, generally very aggressive.

Also heard of a guy operating a processor in the bush, from a distance they sound like a hot cow, turned his machine around and there were 3 bulls behind him looking around for the cow.

my buddy had the opposite happen on sunday. Let out some cow moose calls and a 4pt elk came into 20yds all sneakily. Told him it sounds like he needs more bass in his call lol.

One of the top 5 bulls shot in MB came in to a guy chopping wood with an axe in his camp.

sept 22 in the peace a few years back had three different bull moose come to elk calls, two to bugle and one to a cow call

Had 3 bull moose sound off like bullfrogs after a bugle..Also had other big bull moose start " uughin " when I bugled..Generally around the middle of September..
