Help...Kolpin Gun Boot Liner

Has anyone else had problems with the liner of the kolpin gun boot tearing from the gun bolt or strap swivels? I have tried to repair the sleeve but it is a complete mess. The gun does not slide in and out with ease.

Has anyone else experienced this? How did you solve the issue? I gun sock would be too thin and not enough padding from bumping along on the ATV.

Got the same problem and still figuring it out. Already been through 2 boot liners. I would like to find sheeps hair as a liner

I had the same issue. Especially after a changed my sling to a rubbery one. It would really get stuck in the boot.

I just changed from the Kolpin gun boot 4 to there larger gun boot 6.
The lid opens on a hinge vs the gunboot 4 cap.

I used it all weekend with excellent success.

I've packed rags into the end of my Kolpin so that the gun barrel carries most of the weight. As a result the bolt(and scope) don't really bear any of the weight. My Kolpin is mounted at a 45 degree angle. .... And it rides a Yamaha.... :mrgreen: No rips or tears yet....

I got the Kolpin boot with the fuzzy liner, got to watch moisture and sometimes they will tear out. Found spray contact cement will make them stick again and drying them out is a must. The boot liners do not last long, a couple of years before mine ripped like yours, got 5 years on my first fuzzy liner before the housing broke and on my second .

Google Kolpin boot liners,,,I did and found a place to get them,,,I cant remember where but I ordered 2 of them online,,,10 bucks each
