Two Cranbrook deer, is the front one a cross breed? Not great photo of the front deer, but any thoughts?

the one in front has antlers spread out like a whitetail while still branching like a mulies, the rest of it looks mulie. The 2nd one is def a mulie but the experts above have already clarified that

Location of the tarsal glands on the rear legs is the definitive way to tell, one is high, the other low, hybrid half way...antlers go funky all on there own

Yes. Never judge a deer species by the rack configuration. It will lead you to trouble if you shoot a mule deer (Like both of these) thinking its a white tail.

Well since the new science says that mule deer are cross breeds between white tails and black tails, I'd have to say yes

Both mule deer. There is some variation in mule deer antlers. The rump is unmistakeable as are the ears.

100% Mule Deer. Just weak backs on a 3 point muley.

I'm pretty sure they are all mulies... However 2 seasons ago I knocked down a 300lb+ 4x3 that looked like a mule deer with and elk body (body was gradient grey to brown with tan ass and no tail). Our camp had 2 doe tags for mule also that year and one of them was same color as the mule buck (I call it a delk now lol).
