Yes, 7600. Also Model 6 and 760 in both 30/06 and .308 ........ We hand load with Nosler partitions 165 gr. spitzer both perform terrific and drop any moose deer bear and elk they have been aimed at. These loads perform very well with these Remington pumps.

We use the Nosler hand book for load specifications . But prefer the IMR 4831 powder and have done these loads for over 35 years. The model 6 and 7600 came after the 760 . These loads perform very well with these Remington pumps.

Thanks CT and NAP
I am using 180 as well but been thinking going to 165 or 170 to see if I can get a little more distance.
with the short barrel it is great when your in the bush to get around without it hanging up on the branches but the reach is not quite as good. thinking maybe a smaller bullet may go farther?

7600 carbine, 185 Berger, 55grains imr 4350, seated to fit clip, @ 2650 fps, 1.5" groups at 100yds. Not a tack driver but good enough for a brush gun

what do you mean, seated to fit clip? and carbine is not the wood stock correct?

By seated I mean bullet seated deep enough to fit/function in detachable magazine, Carbine is 18.5" barrel model. It's got a synthetic stock and parkerized metal. I did have the 155 grain bergers going quite a bit faster, can't remember specifics and I'm in camp, get back to you in a couple days. I like the heavy bullets for huntin the thick brush so stuck with the 185, works just dandy on whitetails!
