Some miserable weather in the Kootenays!!! Glad I have my sheep tag cut this year and a moose tag for Nov as I feel no real urgency to get out there!!

Good luck to all out there!

Though my season opened on August 1st... I am always wide awake at 3am on September 10th.

Good luck everyone... 10 days until I leave for my cariboo trip!

Went out this morning, saw a cow elk,a big single whitie doe and a fat little 3 year old`ish black bear. And then the freezing cold rain drove me out of the bush.
I`ll sneak out this evening if it quits being so crappy.

Once again I'm stuck at work for opening day, my plans of calling in sick have been foiled, I have to put 200,000 feet of steel through my mill unfortunately :( Saturday will be the day for me, hopefully it's not too hot.

Was going to go out Saturday, but my loving wife gently reminded me that we are at a wedding...on the mainland. Furthermore, we are staying over at her folks place Sunday so looks like I won't be getting out for another week or so.

Took my son out for elk today. Snowing and really wet so we came home early, Plus I shot my bull on the 8th so there's no pressure.
