never used scent before, not sure which scent is used for rut or pre rut or post rut. any suggestions on what and how to use it during early deer season? as in 4 days from now!

.... or is it just a big scam

dont like getting gimmicky but i saw a monster buck same spot last year, and if hes still around i wanna drop him

there's really no use for scent this early.
except a cover-scent to mask our stinkiness.
most scents are for using during the rut.

thats what i thought. talking to a family member from out of town said he swears by doe piss anytime of year, wasnt sure if hed been sniffing a little to much of it or he was onto something...

I read somewhere that white tail deer like the smell of vanilla and will come into inspect the smell, you guys ever hear such thing?

I think he's using that as an excuse and just likes the smell.

and doe piss can bring in a sneaky cougar also, so I wouldn't just use it all the time.

Yup, same as peanut butter and grape and berry flavoured koolaid. But not when you have bears around. Have tried them all and they all work, except the bears love it too.
