So me and a buddy have our designated spots which we have been scouting for many months. Recently we have each had a cougar start showing up. I am wondering how the best way to go about hunting them would be once the season opens? We have conveniently noticed a slowing down of deer activity right after the cats showed up. Not sure if it is a coincidence or not but either way we want them gone...

Any advice would be appreciated.

Such a pretty animal. I would leave him alone!

If it makes you feel any better we intend on trying some pepperoni out of them.

Predators go where the food is . If a food source draws attention of deer , it will draw cats too. Good luck finding one in shooting light

The one fella actually showed up multiple times in the last two weeks mid day. Hopefully it continues.

How does it work when it comes to hounds? Any local houndsman want to talk? Not sure when that is aloud but shoot me a message if you see this and can be of service!

Hounds are the easiest way but if the coug has established a routine around your cam mid day I would hang out there and wait for it, would make a nice rug! ;)

Find out the wind at the mid day and set up a blind - then BLAST him ! RJ

I would see if you can get into a tree stand or a ground blind then put a foxpro out in front of you and start calling.

When you already know a cougar is in the area is the best time to try calling

Thanks for the advice, I know what I am doing once the 10th comes. Would be quite the rush to call one of these guys in!
