As I'm new to hunting, I've been trying to learn tracks and sign of different animals to get an idea of what areas they seem to be inhabiting in my region. I came across these prints, but I am not sure if they would be from a cat, wolf, or possibly something else? The print isn't perfect anymore but maybe someone here can help identify the track? I have tried looking online but from the sites I was looking at it was hard to determine conclusively what they were.

Canine. The two middle toes are at the same level. Feline has a single leading toe.

Looks big enough to be a wolf.

Wolf, the print has claws. Cats generally retract their claws.

it's a dag.
a dag's pad is narrower, a cat's is the width of it's track basically.
and a dag's you can draw an "X" between it's toes, missing it's pad, a cat's you can't.
and also the claws suggest it's a dag.

Canine--big dog. Track is a bit two round for a wolf IMO. The cartridge is a 2 1/8 inch 222.

I like that method, drawing an X. Makes it easy! Thanks Sofa King!
