Bought one last fall for a trip I had planned into the Chilcotin for Mule deer.
The Pak-kart is light and well designed. Reasonably strong and good ground clearance.
I have to say we gave our pak-kart (and ourselves) an extreme workout. We moved all of our food and camp gear with it. It was a 4 km hike, all uphill.

Going into camp was really tough. Because of the steep uphill trail, the side slope and the load, we had 3 of us struggling the cart up to camp. One pulling, one pushing and one on the low side to keep it from tipping. It was a brutal trip.

We also used it to retreive our deer. Retreival of the deer was down a steep, boulder strewn creek bed. We had packed halves of the buck on pack boards to where we could use the cart. From there it was about a kilometer to camp. Pushing, pulling and lifting the cart over rocks, logs and obstacles.

Leaving camp at the end of our trip with camp gear and deer on board was much easier. Gravity was working with us. The only negative was (again) keeping a man on the low side to keep the cart from tipping. It handled the weight just fine.

They are a good rig on gentle to flat terrain. They do not handle side hills well. One man can easily carry a big deer or a quarter of moose on this cart if the terrain isn't too rough.

We bought ours about 5 years ago. Where we hunt for moose no quads are allowed. This thing has packed out 5 deer and 7 moose out of ugly spaces. Keys to remember.....its for most part always a two man evolution. Timber and cut blocks make the single man thing damn near impossible. Bungy cords will be your friend, take at least 6 and always leave them attached. Don't get greedy and try and throw half a moose on the thing.....take a quarter at a time.

Look at it this way...$200. You'll be glad you spent it when you need to pack that next animal from god knows where back to camp. Don't regret the buy at all.

Had it for 3 years, packed out a lot of animals on it. I also use it in hunt camp to get a few days of wood for the fire in one trip. I put the back seats down in a Nissan SUV and the Pak Kart can be tipped up and rolled right in with the deer or bear still strapped on. See the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS8WDq-0jtE)

Use mine once a week around the property to haul garbage and garden clippings. A large tupperware type container with tie downs makes for a good cover, and keeps the contents from moving around too much.

Really well designed product.

I use that, but it can be a pain in the @$$ dragging it up a hill. So its a great piece of equipment, but not mutually exclusive. I use it with my portable winch (http://shop.westcoastwinch.com/), so I winch the animal to an even-ground location, then I'll use the Hauler.

Have had one for several years. As has been stated, works great on level ground or pulled behind a quad. One of the first things I did was get the tires filled with foam. Cheap tires and tubes are the only complaint I would have. Other than that, it has worked great.....all for friends animals, not my own...lol.

I have 2 with an extension on both. we can carry 12 dozen goose decoys in one trip. 3 trips and we are about half done. the only complaint I have is tires go flat easy.so I will try what farmer said and fill with foam .good to have when the farmer wouldn,t allow any vehicles in the fields...fowl

Anyone ever attached one to a bike? A guy once told me you can use a hyme joint to attach to the seat post. Just need to be a bit careful on a steeper road with a big load... I'm gonna try one of these years.

That aside though, I've seen others and they have a straight axle all the way across but the Sasquatch ones are different and waay better for going over stumps etc.

I once asked fellow selling them at the Chilliwack show a couple years back. I wanted to know why not solid tires. It had to do with the axles. They would be dynamite with solid tires. We borrowed a competitors unit on a moose hunt in Reg 6. While the tires were solid and removable for transport, the split pins fell out all the time. Made the moose haul in the dark far more work than it needed to be. Try finding the pins in the dark!!

Have had my Sasquatch game cart for many years. Hauled bear, deer, and elk with it along with treestands, ladderstands, a freezer.......... Had it hooked up for tow behind a quad to carry xtra gear, never had an issue. I had a close look at other cart makers before I bought this and stiill have yet to see one that matches the quality/toughness of the sasquatch carts.

Awesome piece of kit
