That's something that I have always wanted to do, where you going, how much is it and is there a site that I can look at?

Make sure you have bug dope. I flew in once with my son on a goat hunt, as the plane was leaving (and the bugs were swarming) I realized what I had forgot to bring. During the hunt wasn't too bad, but in camp was aweful without the bug dope! As it was, my son bagged a B&C goat, so there was that...

One thing we discovered a long time ago is to bring those 5 gallon cooking oil pails. We pack them full of stuff for the flight in ( they take 35 beer....not 36, so drink at least the one while packing them in). They come in handy for so many things.....water pail, seats, dry storage, meat/cape storage..the skys the limit. Plus they stack nicely on the plane to make more room.

Good luck, take lots of pictures and post up your results.

Cheers

Not really a necessity, but a come along is always nice on a moose hunt.

Zodi shower, or at least the pump. Nothing like a warm shower after dealing with your moose.

First aid kit with needle and thread in case you need to fix your self up. Might save your or your hunting partners life being able to stitch a bad cut up. Oh and roll of duct tape, 1000 uses even in the bush. Have a great trip!

Whenever I'm out in the bush I always pack a very small bag with a lighter, candle, garbage bag and thermal blanket. I always keep this on my person, the weather changes quickly and you never know when you will have to spend a night away from camp..

Take bear bait... ie an "ok" hunting partner. Don't go wasting good hunting partners, they're harder to replace.

try to think of what could go wrong and a have way to mend it or a back up.

make sure you've got a good first aid kit. help is a long way off. include things like steri-strip, quick clot and a sharp needle and dental floss. I also like to throw in a few of those little finger condoms in case you nick a finger while field dressing.

don't forget your fishing gear for when you tag out early.

I don't know how many in your party but its a good idea to bring a spare rifle in case of failure. one spare for your group could save the trip.

why don't you post your list so we can see if there's any glaring omissions? also to give others ideas they might have missed.

Depends on how many people and what kind of plane you'e chartering.

Small wall tent and stove/pipes
chainsaw/gas/ oil/axe/kindling/swede saw etc if there is firewood available
Lots of rope/game bags for hanging game/extra tarps(more than you think you will need)
small wooden plywood that you can leave behind
propane tank/hoses/stove/lantern/mantles ect
folding shovel

Try to use rubbermaid containers or similar for smaller gear. Pilots like them.

inflatable boat...... if one available

Extra SD cards for your cameras, and change them often. Nothing like having an entire trip on one card and then sending the camera into the drink. At least you may save a few pics by switching often.

Dont take this wrong, but hand lotion. I find by day 4 in moose camp my hands are cracking and hurting, especially if everything is wet.

Im surprised no one has said a kitchen sink lol!

If the plane is big enough, I would be taking anything to be comfy at camp. That being said you aren't there to hang out at camp, you are there to hunt. Focus on the essentials required to be comfortable and efficient at hunting not so much camping. Remember there will be bugs, remember that you are all alone, health and safety is first, booze and women second!
