Wife's First Sheep

Well I can honestly say I have not posted a story on this site for over 5 yrs, even tho I'm on here checking for photos and story's primarily of sheep almost every day! I know there has been a bit of drama from people about posting sheep stories as there is always people who have nothing better to do then to chirp. So I thought I would hopefully motivate more people to share there photos and stories by posting this one. I moved to the Yukon from BC 3 yrs ago and have always browsed for stories about what I was missing in BC, as I still think BC is one of the best places to hunt!

It has been a banner yr for me and my wife for hunting and I don't think I will ever top this yr for how things have turned out, I have been able to be on 3 sheep kills this yr but the one that makes me the most excited is my wife's.

Was a bit of a marathon hunt as we had to do a lot of hiking in a short amount of time given we only had about 4 days. on day 2 we spotted this ram with 2 others and made a quick stalk and wife but the hammer down on a ram of a life time, green scored him at 162 gross and 39" long.

Awesome not only to see the girls doing it but another Yukoner as well, congrats, at the end of the guiding season I will be posting some stuff as well. So far only 1 sheep down as my last hunter gave up after 1 trip up the mountain.

That is totally awesome your wife shot such a great ram. It shows you that women can climb those steep mountains like any man can. And shoot a ram.
Well done to your wife and for you for taking her on a trip that will be a very enjoyable hunt you both can look back on for years to come.
I think she may be the first hbc women on here to shoot a sheep. So if that is the case then totally awesome for your wife.
You should be very proud of her for going on a sheep hunt. It has never been an animal that I would want to go after heights are not really my thing.
