Well I just need to share this one.
Last season was my introduction to bow hunting. Using a hand me down, Alpine Archery bow from the early 90's. I practiced and was comfortably hitting my targets at 25 yards, but I wasn't willing to risk a shot further than that due to arrow speed and accuracy. I spent the season slow stalking/walking brush hoping to bump a deer within my range. A few chances arose, but due to rookie mistakes on more than one occasion I wasn't able to draw on my deer. A good friend and avid bow hunter came out with me a few times. He approved of me hunting with the bow , but knew an upgrade was in short order.

Over the off season I did a lot of reading/researching of bows. With a wife, 2 kids and the price tag of even a used bow, my upgrade was farfetched and if I had the cash to throw at a new bow I had come the conclusion that a family vacation or some other choice was a better option for me.
My good friend knew this was my case and therefore, for my 31st birthday he organized a group of close friends and family to make my dream of owning a state of the art compound a reality. About 25 people pitched in from all directions, and about a week after my birthday I was absolutely blown away when I opened up my new Bowtech Carbon Knight!

I'm still freaking out. Shooting my bow every day, purchasing upgrades like crazy. Slick tricks and lighted knocks are next. Bulls eyes at 40 yrds within a few days of shooting. Thanks to my many friends and family !!!!
