Was planning on a family camping trip next week and got to thinking if it was worth the drive from Quesnel to Dawson Creek area for the moose season? If so any suggestion for a decent area that has a spot for camping that the wife and kids will enjoy, and at the same time have some hunting within the area? Never hunting up that way, or this early in the season. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appriciated. Thanks

Go camping for sure. If you happen to get a moose, that's just the bonus.

heard on the news today that North of PG is about 10 degrees above normal, so heat will be an issue. Why not go, scout it for another season at least.

Peace country has had a very hot and dry summer. Always nice to see new places. Seem to be less and less moose around vs ten years ago or maybe my luck ain't too good hah. If you shoot something you will need to get it cool and fast. Still stays above 10 degrees at night closer to 25-30 in the day. It's always worth the drive when huntings involved 😁

+30 tomorrow, supposed to get cooler next week, but not that cool. if you do come, you better make sure you have access to a cooler or your family understands it is shoot, pack, pack up and head home right away.

Good luck if you head up.

Cheers
