this years snow goose hatch is less then 10%. having said that this is an approximation by dr. basilli the Russian biologist. this was done by monitoring the daily temperature and weather conditions of the nesting grounds .once again there was no one on the grounds as the Russians would not agree to having the USFandG fund a research program. take it for what it is worth....fowl

they refer to him as doctor basilli as that is his first name and I couldn,t even begin to spell his last name....I do not have a link as I spoke on the phone to the us fish and game ....dale

His name is actually, Dr. Vasily Baranyuk (don't ask me to pronounce it) He is one of the foremost expert on Snow Geese in the world.

Had a hunch that's who he was referring to, just never heard the Basilli reference before. K
