Just some long range shooting on video, decent bullet trace visible. 500yd water jugs, 850yd 18"x24" steel plate and 1000yd 12''x12'' rock.

That's some nice shooting...amazing how slow the bullet trajectory looks at those longer distances..

26" #4 SS lilja, Defiance Rebel action with 20moa pinned pic rail, Mcmillan A-3 Sporter with edge fill, Jewel Trigger @ 2.5#, rem floor plate. Built by ATRS. Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x56, ATRS rings. Rifle is super easy to shoot, just over 10# scoped.

It all goes together and shows how to do it. Nice machine built for a purpose. Taking the NF out for a stroll to a thousand on a 12x12 target  . Do you take it out for sheep at 10# ? Very nice videos including the hunting ones. Thanks for sharing.

I packed it for sheep this year but was my partners turn to squeeze. I passed a legal ram as well, wasn't prepared to pack two rams out unless a 40" showed up! It's around the same weight as my last rig so I'm used to the weight, have spent quite a bit of $ shaving weight on rest of gear. I'm sure it will pay off packing it around, it shoots far so less hiking:)

Very Nice rifle and Very nice shooting. Might have been said already but what is your rifle chambered in?

My old Custom shop R700 hit the scales at just over 13.5 and I took it goat hunting... once. My current rig weighs in at between 10-11, I pack that big ******* everywhere. One of these days I'll get around to building a Mountain Rifle.

Just wondering how far off the lands do you seat the VLD's? I've used 130gr Berger VLD's but they are extremely fussy where as the Hybrids are easier to tune. BTW, nice rig, hope you have a barrel on the shelf or at least one on order :)

That is one of the reasons I quit working with VLD's.. Takes twice as long to develop a load, not only is powder and powder charge important but seating depth is a Pain In The Ass, Once hunting season is over and I can get my hands on some 190gr VLD's in 30cal I will try them again and see if I can get a load dialed in.

I run em 50 thou off the lands, had good luck between .030-.050". Never found them overly finicky as I've heard from others. One thing about them is if you can get em to shoot inside an inch at 100 they seem to hold sub moa out much further than many other bullets I've tried. Other bullets will shoot much better at 100 but they will not stay tight out far enough for my liking. Want to try some nosler lrab but haven't run into any yet, and they dont make 140 grainers. As for bbl life I'm hoping for 800 rounds, really like the sounds of the 26 nosler so less than that wouldn't break my heart. Bbl's are cheap:)

That's good shooting. Although I'm sure I could have f#$cked up the grass in a 5 foot circumference on the left, right, top or bottom of the target real good. So I'm close to being as good as you.
