I was once told "The most optimistic thing a man will ever do is to reach into a pile of squirming pups, pull one out and say this will be my gundog" Well I guess I am a forever optimist I just brought home my next gundog from Site member GoldNGun Retrievers in Mill Bay. She is a daughter of Foxton's GNG Gawd Darn Risqué MH and granddaughter on my good old gal Foxton's Cuervo Gold, the 4th generation of Foxton Goldens. Now the fun begins

8 weeks when the pix were taken, she is a retrieving FOOL. I try to keep the sessions short but she never wants to quit. Today I stopped after about a doz. perfect retrieves, I went and sat down in the recliner to watch Wild TV, she started srambling to get on my lap so I hooked a hand behind her head and she pulled herself up. She had a puppy toy in her mouth, she sat on my lap dropped the toy and just looked at me, she wanted more.

With all the wisdom and experience you have gained over the years, sure would be great if you could do a little write up of how you pick a dog, treat a dog, teach the fundamental steps in retrieving. I know it does and has taken volumes of books to say it all, but I bet you have it boiled down to something you could share :-P
