Get used to shooting animals on the run. With the thousands of LML road hunters that descend on 8-12 every fall it's quite the circus. Plus side, if you pick up all the empties on the FSRs you'll easily cover gas costs.

MU 8-12
West Kettle

This country of gorgeous open parkland intersected by deep ravines and game rich rocky ridges can fill the fridges, you can reach this MU 8-12 from all sides, bing, bang, bah boom. Highway 33 between Kelowna and the famous Rock Creek goes straight up the gut of MU 8-12 with many side roads running off 33 into hunting country.
It's western portion is laced with logging roads pushing in from Penticton and OK Falls. The Conkle Lake road is a winner and cuts thru it, running from Hwy 33 near Beaverdell over the great big game hunting country highlands to come out on Hwy 3 near Bridesville. Excellent mule deer hunting with some whitetail and moose on the loose.

Jelly Mu 8-12 -- West Ket tell -- moose, mule, and whitetail -- Bah Boom!

Hunt the west side of HWY 33 and stay north of beaverdell, there are a ton of moose in there. One of the higher density pops in the region.

Don't let the rotary pilots scare you- typical seagulls. Not many guys on foot. If it's in october find the swamps/ponds etc, do some calling and you'll kill a moose. November is tracking in the snow. One of the better MUs in the province for moose.

Sound advice from Goat Guy. Also be sure to pack a white tail tag as you'll be sure to bump into a couple!

Last year 2 HBC members got their bulls with the Nov draw.
Both very nice bulls for reg 8.
Do a search for moose on HBC, you could get lucky.

Ptarmigan Main past the Big White turn off. Was good 25 years ago and still is. Good luck and keep off the roads. It's a still hunter's wet dream in there.
