If my 10 year old shoots a mule deer in region 3 in youth season which would count against my limit, I can still shoot a mule deer in region 8 in the regular season. Is this correct. I was having a discussion with a friend and we had different opinions. Thanks in advance for your replies.
Yes. I assume your talking about buck only?
As long as you stay with in Provincial bag limits and Regional bag limits your good.

I'm pretty sure if your Son has his Hunting License, he can buy his own tag's, so you wouldn't have to cancel yours, no??? Far as I can remember, my Grandson's had his own License and tag's since he was ten.

If the son has a junior license, his limits are taken on his dad's license. If he has his own, regular hunting license, he has his own bag limits.

Click on licences and read the bottom of the page. It explains it pretty clearly.
