I might be going to babine lake in 2 weeks. What's the theory. Is that too early for sockeye?

Should be just right. They're coming up the Skeena now..

There was already 168756 through the fence just north of the lake as of July 24th, probably close or over 200,000 now. In the 24 years of data available, there has never been that many fish this early. Should be tons in there in a couple of weeks, might even be open to 4 a day by then considering the Skeena is now 4 a day.

The more fishermen on Babine Lake the fewer crowding the river in Terrace. :)

I cant stand that friggin fence fishery, way too many people for my tastes. However, a sure bet to catch fish so a good spot to take a newer fisherman, a true cant miss scenario if you have the right gear. And bring a camera, its just polluted with grizz up there.

Now over 250,000 through the Babine fence. Can see them opening it to 4 fish/day soon after the opening if not for it.
