I have a hard time accounting for the camera! Do people actually set up cameras around the house and then go on like they aren't there. Sounds and looks somehow setup to me. Although the kid DID act as if he was unaware of a camera. Maybe his Dad suspected him of being up to no good and set up a camera. In any case the Dad should get the kick first for not teaching the kid properly that guns are not toys. The kid was just being himself - as all kids are at that age and imo need to be watched like a hawk. What's next cocaine, crystal meth or the neighbors daughter?

Not much can be done about it. Every species of animal on the planet has its own culling agent. With humans its stupidity. Unfortunatly with our social safety net we only delay the inevitable and they have too many chances to reproduce. Moreso unfortunate when they're negative integre IQ cause them to take the life of those we need.

C'mon Gatehouse, you can't think that the storage laws are a bad idea. I remember when I was a kid some 44 years ago in Calgary playing with my best friend's Dad's hunting rifles that we found in the basement closet. I still get a cold sweat when I think how lucky the three of us were that one of those guns wasn't loaded. I may not agree with all of the firearm regulations, but I have no issue at all with the storage requirements.

Gateholio

I completely, 100% disagree with storage laws.

I believe that if you are in a position that your firearms may be handled by an unauthorized person, (such as your firends father) you shoudl take appropriate measures to prevent this.

If you are NOT in that situation, you shouldn't be required by law to do anything.

To put it bluntly- I don't need the governent forcing me to comply wiht a regulation in my own home, for a non existent "safety" issue.

Sad part is that he probably thinks its funny. Shoot, I thought it was funny. Friggin hilarious. We can all learn from morons.

The look on his face suggests it isn't fake. What led up to it after his Mom was humped by her brother is the rest of the funny story.

The guns were handled by three kids all under the age of 7. Not adults. We will just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Your friends father should have

A) Given his son a lesson on gun safety, and made sure that he knew he was not to handle them wihtout his supervision

B) Made them inacessible to unauthoried use.

To me, that is common sense if you have children in your home. I don't need the gv't to tell me this.8-)

I am with Gatehouse on the storage law. Growing up in Switzerland, where every household has at least four guns of which at least one is an army assault rifle, we have no storage laws. What we did have is a father and mother that instructed us on all the stuff we could never touch unless we want to experience so much pain that we would curse the day we where born. Growing up surrounded by firearms handling them under supervision became as much second nature as handling knife and fork.

I could shoot a gun before I could ride a bicycle.:)

agreed... the gun leaves his hands before the sound, and the gunshot sounds like a "hollywood" sound effect.

Does the slide on the pistol move?

If it moves, it's proabby real. If it desn't...
