The Shell gas station at the corner of Hwy 29 and 97 is permanently closed. You will need to head into FSJ for gas, or keep heading north.

Yup, Apparently Shell did not renew the contract and Shorty decided to just close it down and just go on with his Auctions.

Shell's lease is up in two years and they are responsible for the environmental clean up and will ge doing that over the next two years. Station will probably be re opened then.

Amazing what you hear from different people.

I had also heard it was closed cause he died, closed cause there was a murder there and closed due to too much contamination and it was affecting the ground water.....

The Shell not renewing the lease was the most plausible one....
