Vanderhoof is the mecca, but there is an outfitter there that has just about the whole area tied up.

They are out there but you will have to work for em. Some good farms in the chief lake area. The fraser near shelley can be real good. Plenty on the crooked river but they are hard to get at and pretty skittish. If you put in the time scouting youll find em.

Go to Tachick lake. I was there last fall and had a blast. Limited out in no time.

Tachick & Nulki lakes near Vanderhoof... but also Eaglet Lake is full of ducks. You will need a boat or canoe. north shore east of the park or south shore anywhere along the tracks.

Any geese on Eaglet? Lots of sign on the Fraser last fall too.

I haven't bird hunted there in years but we did take some geese at Eaglet. Can't see it being any different now.

Sounds good, close to home and something else to get obsessive about.
