I know the question has been asked but i just want to know what the latest word is about an opening for the sockeye and when the size restriction on the springs well be removed thanks. Mike

I thought the size restriction flips off on the 28th. Sockeye there is no planned opening as of the last meeting.

from the downstream side of the CPR Bridge at Mission upstream to the Alexandra Bridge, except Landstrom Bar (described below) which is closed to all angling from May 1 to Oct. 31. Landstrom Bar are those waters of the Fraser River inside a line beginning at a fishing boundary sign on the eastern end of Landstrom Bar, then to a fishing boundary sign on the opposite bank, then to a fishing boundary sign at the southern end of Croft Island, then westerly to a fishing boundary sign on the nearest bank of the river, then following the river bank to the beginning point.

the sfac will meet with dfo on august 30 so it will be some time after that. the peak of the run 4 years ago was august 31 ,given the stuart run was a week late I suspect we will be still fishing them in October should it open....dale

Notice came out yesterday for the Osoyoos opening effective July 31st , so expect the same kind of notice.
