Two of my best friends and I drew this shared hunt - we are stoked! Planning on doing a canoe hunt in Nazko Provincial Park.
A few questions that came to mind so far:
-Weather. Looking at the Williams Lake historical forecast it sounds like freezing temps and a bit of snow?
-Water. The park website mentions some of the lake levels are too low to paddle through in late summer, do they come back up by then? Will any of them be starting to freeze over yet?
-Technique. From the threads I've read about late season, the rut is over and calling is not usually effective. Is the country open enough we can glass from the lakes, or would we be better off covering ground on foot looking for fresh sign (especially if there's snow) and targeting those areas at first/last light?
Unfortunately none of us are close enough to do any scouting, and we only have a few years of hunting under our belts. Any info would be very much appreciated - getting an animal or two on a unique hunt like this with the three of us together would be incredible!
Cheers, D
