These! Dunlop cold weather boot! Hands down! haha... Mine are 7 years old. I snowshoe 5 months a year in them, I guide in them and even wear them in the summer doing timberwork. Four wheel drive for your feet! Use with a bamma sock. You will not regret it! Only boot I have NEVER had cold feet in - Even in Sask!!

I used a pair of 20 dollar Canadian tire gumboots last winter hiking in rain and snow on a few clearcuts lol wearing thick socks I stayed warm and dry, feet hurt a bit after each trip but never lasted more than an evening. No point in spending much if you don't plan on hiking in to crappy of terrain.

I have the dunlops as well great boot only downside is you wouldn't want to do a 10 k hike in them a bit bulky other than that as fred1 said 4wd on your feet. Bamma socks a must or sealskin socks which I use both

I have the Dunlop's. I'm in the market for new rubbers. Those monster boots are fun, but waaayy too bulky for hunting. I'd go with mucks if ur going to spend the cash.

Not sure what kinda ground you'll be hunting, but if slick logs are on the menu, I'd be all over a pair of Viking rubber caulk boots. Steel toe is not ideal, but they do offer enough room for layering socks and tucking your foot in a glad kitchen catcher to keep foot moisture contained and your inner boot dry.

Use them all winter falling in temps down to -30 with no complaints as long as your somewhat active.

I am wary of anything neoprene... ie muck boots they will fail... I see it every year. One rip or puncture from a willow and now you're wet and lookin for shoe goo for your expensive fancy boot. They just cant take the abuse for long. For the price get the ones you have to shoot to put a hole in. I did 8km in my Dunlops last Friday. No problem, but I do have iron feet and ankles. And like I said, mine are going into hunting season 8. Ill be wearing them next week too.

Yup caulk boots, assuming you're not in and out of a vehicle regularly. Use them with bama socks.

Muck boots. I love 'em but limit the hikes to 5 km or less myself. Good comfy boots. 100% waterproof

I'm with Fred. The Dunlop boots are awesome. I have the Mark's knockoff versions (Belkin) and they are absolutely awesome. For longer hikes I'd like to be able to cinch the back at the top closer to my calf but that is my only complaint.

I always put a good aftermarket insole in my boots and shoes but those Belkins are very comfortable in anything but really steep terrain. In steep terrain the lack of a lace up fit means the toes do mash up a bit.

Get a pair. You'll be amazed how often you choose to wear them.

Dunlops are bulky. I wear them at work (drilling rig) where they serve me well, but otherwise I'd go with with REMINGTON JIM's suggestion.

I bought the green Kamik boots (with felt liners) for cleaning stalls and started using them for hunting. I've used them at -20C, they have a grippy sole and and are at least 10 years old now. Only $35 at Otter Co-op. It turns out they're the hunter model.

Anyone ever consider the cabelas rubber boots or there neoprene boots. They are backed by a lifetime warranty unlike all the other brands

me and my brothers all use the big green Dunlops with Bama socks. And we hike all day with them up and down after our blacktail. Would not ever change. They seem a bit bulky, but you get used to it fast.

Dunlops work down to -30 no problem. Get them big enough for Bammas in really cold weather. I wear them at work all winter long. 5 months of -25 or colder weather without ever having cold feet. Usually the only thing on me that is warm.

They will definitely be warm enough for any weather you find in the Charlottes and get my vote.

I found these combo ones called Seals, neoprene inner, rubber outside, heavy lug sole, very tall, gussetted and adjustable on the side. Got them at my local surplus herbies for 39.99, found them online in Europe (only place I could find them, I think they are Aussie), 161.00 canadian online. I liked them so much I went back, got a pair two sizes up, put a felt footbed liner and can wear heavy wool in them for the cold weather.

I wear Viking caulk boots for work on the coast. Amazing boots on wet logs - haven't twisted an ankle in 15 years of wearing them. I don't notice the extra weight of the steel toe. Stick a pair of bama socks in them and you will have happy, dry warm feet at the end of the day.
