7-49 Moose, Opening Weekend

Was anyone up in Fort Nelson for opening weekend last year? I just want to know how much hunting competition I can expect? I went to Hudson Hope for opening weekend in August last year and there were hunters everywhere. I am thinking I will travel a few hundred kms extra and hopefully see a few less people.

Yes there will probably be less people. If there was 100 people in Hudson Hope, I am guessing there will be anywhere from 95 to 98 people in Fort Nelson. Lol. Opening week of moose season there will be people everywhere.

Yup 49 is a busy mu if yea dont know exactly where your headed you would be surprised how many people travel that far every year excluding the locals

What about industrial traffic? That was the other issue with Hudson Hope. They have those new pump stations every km or two it seems. There was non-stop dump trucks hauling gravel and people working out there. Any of that activity up Fort Nelson?
