Trying to keep my mind off of the inevedable disappointment of not getting a draw.at the same time looking forward to the generous open seasons we have in beautiful Bc.

my season consists of a couple 10 day trips a couple weekenders and a bunch of day trips.
Its these day trip that I would like to improve on.
In the past I have driven out early and cruised around the mountains with a few sporadic hikes.

im in Chilliwack and usually drive out to merit Princeton lyton areas.

what's the best way to use your time and gas on a day trip.

Well the best way to save time is to plan it out so that your day trips are later in the season, so either region 3 for the mulie/whitetail rut, 8 if you bow hunt you can have some great hunting later in the December bow only season.

My trick, like most others sportsmen, is to sacrifice sleep. For some reason it is easier to justify being dog tired after getting up at 2am for a hunting or fishing trip than for anything else, especially if you get something to bring home.
