Sitting at my desk daydreaming about Elk Season this fall, has anyone accidentally lured in a Grizz while using Calf/Cow Calls? I personally have not, but I could see it happening especially if you are frantically calf calling and a curious grizz near by.

Is it September Yet?

Every year. More than once. Just because you hear something coming in noisy and fast, don't assume it's an elk. If you want a good bit of excitement, hunt with a bow, only. And have those Griz come in as the so frequently do.

called in a large griz with a moose cow call!

After I had called, I moved down the road to where I could see more of the open area. I got about 75m away from where I called and a griz silently but quickly appeared on the exact spot I called. I am way more cautious now when calling moose and elk.

Called one in last year close to camp on the first evening of the season, he stayed at 40 yds down wind until we decided to leave, cause he wasn't, so about 30 minutes. Not long after me and my wife went to bed he came sniffing around, I'm glad we slept in the truck that night instead of the tent. The next morning there was 2 big scat, 1 at 20 yds from the rear bumper, and the other at 10 yds from the front bumper. Needless to say, we moved camp a few miles.

Had a grizzly come in on me while calling elk for my buddy. Watch your back trail.
Called a few blackies in using a calf call pulled tight and 'squeeky' ..... one went into the book.
