I was curious if anyone had seen any wolverines around the Hope/Yale areas?

I've never seen one anywhere in the fraser valley or yale. About three years ago there was a thread about wolverines on club tread. Someone thought they had seen one on Mt Mcguire. I don't remember if it was confirmed or not, it was a long thread:lol:

I was working near Yale in august last year and I am 90% sure I saw one run across the road in front of me... It was large, dark, and low to the ground... maybe 3.5-4ft long...

There was an injured one trapped, healed and released a few years ago around Coquitlam.

There are wolverines in the Fraser Valley in the area around Hope and Yale but they are few and far between.
I saw a big black wolverine in the hills a little further to the west a few years back. Also saw a chocolate coloured wolverine feeding on the remains of the carcass of a black bear I'd shot once. They are smart, tough and awfully mean little devils.
Wolverine look funny or awkward (not smooth) when they get to a run or trot speed as their front legs are shorter than their rear.
Once you see one in the wild there's no mistaking what type of animal it is.

When I heard low to the ground and dark, in the original post, I thought maybe a badger/otter.

Not too much surprises me anymore with regards to where animals are sighted as alot of critters that were once gone have been protected for so long that they have made good comebacks.

I remember this, if i'm not mistaken i believe this one turned up dead after it's release but i don't remember the details.
