Hey all, well apparently I signed up a couple years ago lol. I have spent most of my time on CGN as I have only ever shot at paper over the last 15 years and probably signed up here when I was looking at buying another rifle. Today I challenged the CORE test and to my surprise only had 4 wrong - I know 2 of them had answers that could go either way. Anyways don't be nervous as I do have a mentor at work that is well seasoned in deer hunting. Time to start spending more time here in the forums and draw from the vast amount of knowledge that all of you kindly share - it is appreciated. My next dilemma will be on which one of my rifles to choose from - the marlin 30/30 - Remington 308 - maybe even the FR8 or do I see another purchase in the near future :)

Well, welcome back to the forum. You're a couple months late for the LEH but, there is plenty of opportunity in the GOS to choose from. Get out there scouting, and good luck with the upcoming season.

Sorry missed your last two lines. 308 is a great deer,bear,elk moose rifle.If it can kill an elephant it can kill anything in North America.
3030 is no slouch either. ;-)

Thanks for the welcome and tips guys. I Have always done my reloads based on target for years so I will have to change what I have. My main powder is varget so I will be spending some time seeing what the reloading section has to say.
