Hi,
I am considering heading to Momich River campground after picking up a 6x12 cargo trailer in Kelowna on Wednesday. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if the Scotch Creek FSR road is ok for a trailer and if the area/launching point is a good one for black bear. I have never been in the area so any advice is welcome as I only have a couple of days to try and bag a decent bear. My plan is to just sleep in the cargo trailer at night. Thanks in advance!

You should have no problem with the road. There are lots of bears in the area too.

Road should be good. Will be dusty. Bring a broom to sweep out your trailer

Watch for logging trucks in that vicinity. Some are over-sized.

The camp ground on the lake is closed.....road is ripped out...to many dead snags from the fire....There is other places to camp along the side of the road....the log trucks are hauling both ways to Scotch creek and to the log dump....You must have a radio....the road is narrow in many places....also crews working snag falling and road resurfacing around Momich main....I have been working out there for about 3 week.....only saw 2 bears....

Sounds like it might not be the best option.
Does anyone know about the Emar Lakes area? Would that be a good launching point?
It points me towards Clinton where I'm headed anyways.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, it appears that Darlington FSR in in region 3-28 which is not open right now for black bear. Am I looking at the wrong Darlington FSR?

Not planning on hunting in Clinton. The area is closed for black bear. Just visiting a friend. Was looking for a place off Highway 24 on my way to Clinton where I could hunt for a couple of days. Leaning towards Deer Lake/Wavey Lake. I figure I'll get to see some beautiful scenery if nothing else.
