Used Trad Bows

Hello all

Can anyone suggest a online resource for used archery equipment in Western Canada. I m looking for a Recurve bow in the 45-50# range RH. Been looking online at some of the hunting sites and forms but have not come up with any good bow specific buy and sells. Do most guys just cruise the gun buy and sells for the odd bow to pop up?

What is your price range? And what are you looking for? Recurve? Longbow? Why used? You can get a sammick sage bran spankin new for $139 at wholesale sports... You can try www.archerytalk.com there is a Canadian section.

Price range something in the $300 range, recurve, hunting, 3D shoots, back yard target shooting, general time wasting. Deer and black bears would be the ultimate goal.

You can pick up a new one for that price that will meet your needs just fine. I recommend if you have not shot trad before test shoot a bow in the poundage you are thinking before buying just to be sure it is comfortable.

If you are set on used be sure to check the bow out in person and watch for limb twist.

There is an omp takedown on craigslist right now for $200. But I would go with a sage if I were you.

thanks guys sounds like used may not be worth the risk or the savings. I have shot trad before and compound just not for a few years I recently shot a buddy 55# bear with out an issue, but have a 30 inch draw so was thinking 45# would be a better fit for my strength and skill level.

Probably the best selection of used trad bows in the west is at Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear. They're in the states but they"ll ship up here.
