You got this right I have been retired now for 7 years lots of time to be out in gods mountains to do the things I love to do..

Headed back into the bush for 6 days to put out the rest of my trail cams salt block I would spend longer in there but I have a love one back into my life things change when this happens and yes Val will be headed back in to the bush with me to help out with my settings etc she will sleep under the stars beside me on a kote this I like she is indeed a real cougar lady....

Gutpile the cougar women has helped me with everything I admire her for what she does around the camp as for helping me put out my trail cams and salt blocks yes Val is a keeper..

Hunter 1947 Is that just salt or are you using some other minerals to attract them? I recently bought my first trail cam and plan to find a place to set it up, just not sure what is the best way to bring them in for good images.

I use the blue block alkaline salt and the white water softener salt that is loose trail cam is 20 feet from the salt bait station..

Nothing wrong with T-camming, Wayne has done very well with his scouting this year!
Just making a point about the effects of feeding deer that I think many people overlook. I used to put out feed to bait deer until I was educated on the impact it can make.

I just started to feed deer elk grain what day is it what month is it right now I think its Oct 10th ??? is it not the deer elk don't feed much on the salt right now so I use wheat for a period of 5 weeks no harm..

There is no impact on feeding deer for a few months in the late fall months to let all know the deer elk move out of this area in the winter months where I have my feed stations the deer don't forget how to feed them self's from the habitat that they have eaten over there years of living they don't depend on feed outs latter on during the winter conditions..

Deer elk soon forget about the free meals they get now and then,,I am not feeding the deer elk in town or surrounding town areas,,feeding deer elk in hi remote areas does not cause any problems for a short time and if it does show me prof that it would ,,, if you feed them year round different story enough said and if anyone don't like my threads then don't post any negative comments up for my thread or others to go side ways keep it to yourself thank you H-47..

Goes to show you how these WT deer don't like the new feed station its a good thing that I put it out 12 days ago so the deer can get used to it notice the doe smelling my scent on the top of the feed station..

Headed back into my hunting camp today found Mr big WT but was to far away it was getting to dark to make a stock on him he was looking my way just inside the timber line
passed up 6 decent WT bucks this week..

This mule deer was shy one point to make it legal to take but I would not have taken it anyways if it was legal it has a few years of growing up to do..
