Decent bear on a quick trip!

We decided to head out on a quick trip out near 100 mile to spend some time with a couple friends who had Gbear draws. Saw lots of bears (up towards 20) in 1.5 days. Decided to harvest this boar. Measured out to 6'2". Thanks to Jetboat Jimmy for making me pass on the one we saw 5 minutes before. More pics added a few posts down.

Nice bear, what caliber rifle did you use? How far was he? he is gonna make one hell of a rug

Thanks Olympia. The rifle used was a Browning X-bolt 270WSM with 150gr nosher partitions. The 300RUM is getting tuned up at the moment. Saw this guy from 200 yards away walking towards us so I got out of the truck. The trail was rolling so I snuck over to the side and stalked up to where I could see him again. He was now within 70 yards and still coming towards me and Jimmy in the truck behind me. At this point I was still debating on whether to take him. So I waited as he just kept coming. He reached the 15 yard mark and still never noticed me so I decided to squeeze one off as he was either going to bolt or attack when he saw me. He dropped mid stride and didn't make a move after. I recovered the partition and it did exactly what they are supposed to do.
