Fishing and holiday in Costa Rica

I am looking for advise form people that have been and done it
i want go chatter fishing in Costa Rica and who is the best charter and location to go and somewhere the kids and wife can still enjoy them self .
any idea or help would be useful

Where in Costa Rica are you planning on going? I went on a work trip to the northwestern part of the country (flew in to Liberia) and stayed in the Playa Conchal area. A group of people went out marlin fishing out of the area and caught nothing the whole day. We saw schools of jackfish and other medium sized game fish in the bays, but the offshore fishing is hit or miss in that part of the country. Do some research online before spending a pile of money for a day on the ocean with no results.

just returned mid april from playa carillo , kingfisher sportfishing - amazing place to rent at decent cost he runs a charter boat /she runs a house rental , raised 17 sails ,hit 12 landed 7 , swimming with porpose , tuna ... awsome trip . playa carillo has the nicest beach so the locals say , look him up it was a trip of a life time !!!!
