These are 'Tanker' or Mounted Combat boots. I have size 14 feet and always have an issue finding boots. I hunted in an old pair of work boots last year but was less than impressed with their lack of water tightness. These boots are built solid, with the straps you also dont get alot of pressure over the top of the foot, if you are a high arched guy like me its welcome relief. Upper is tripple stiched to lower, waterproof in up to almost a foot of water, Vibram sole. Made in 1996 by a US Govt Contractor, 49.99 on Ebay! Now I just have to get them broken in!

Humm, remove the straps and buckles, add eyelets and laces and you're on to something! :)

14 isn't that big. Go into redwing shoes, it'll cost you more than $50 but in my opinion a half decent pair of boots should. They don't have to be hinting boots but they should at least be hiking boots.

Not a big fan of red wings have had in the past but like most makers, once you go above 12 the fit is very hit and miss. These boots are cheap but built like a tank. I thought for sure they were gonna be a junk boot. But am very impressed these were obviously built for combat from the care literature that came with the boots, and the overall quality of construction and materials. I'd get another pair in a heartbeat.

I think the Terminator hunted John Connor in boots like that!
