Headed up there next week for no other reason than I love the area and am gonna do some gear testing, and an area I'd been eyeing for years and saying to myself has got to have some goats, so what the heck, gonna see if I can't hike up there. Can anybody tell me what left up there for snow?

There are goats, LEH all of it, that said the wolves and heli hikers-skiers have displaced many of them. Not over hunting. Beautiful area to bust your ass in ...... Watch for g bears too.

Thanks curly, I know there's goats, I've had four of the draws over the last ten years. Only successful on my most previous draw. Saw goats everytime, I just couldn't connect.

So can anybody tell me if there's stop snow on the road?

I'm working fairly close to that area these days. Break-up is on full fledge and almost all the creeks are flooding the roads. You won't make it far and theres lots of snow still in the goat areas. Wait another month and it should be a bit dryer.

Not sure about Gosnell as I'm working near Avola. There is no snow in the valley but the alpine is still white.

Well, went it there. Road was blocked at 18km by snowdrift, hiked past and made camp fir the night. Snow still up high tho.

Cool area. I used to take my boys in there for blacks when they were younger. It was usually hit or miss to get in that road on the may longweekend. We started going in from the adams lk way and usually got in.

I timber cruised the cutblock just underneath you in that photo. Seen some monster bears in the Finn over the years, one is even hanging on my wall.
