Fishing derby

My wife drove to Fort St John on Tuesday. When she drove past Monte Lake she noticed a sign that indicated a derby on June 1st., anyone have any info? Cant find anything on the internet about it. Thanks

There used to be a derby around fathers day on Monte Lake that was mostly for the kids to catch suckers or squaw fish ? I have never attended so am not sure who puts it on . There are some really nice kokanee in there now . They started stocking those triploid kokanee about 5 or 6 years ago . If I hear anything else about this year I'll add to this post .
