hi guys, just got back my caribou from the taxidermist!...funny, no matter what she tried, she could not get the stain to keep?...still think it looks good!! larry:-D

Nice bull. My caribou was in velvet too and I stripped it off. The taxidermist stained mine up and it looks fantastic. I think they use potassium permanganate to stain and then some linseed oil over top to maintain the stain. Looks great.

My buddy took his down to Research Mannikans in Oregon and they put new velvet on his cariboo.He said it looked just like the day he shot it !$350 bucks later.
