Salmon Arm to Kamloops fly fishing

New to the area and wanting to get out and do a bit of fly fishing this weekend. Can anyone recommend a safe river to do so around these areas?

Local rivers are in spring freshet. : high, fast ,muddy water, lots of debris = quite dangerous, imho. It's a better time to focus on some of the lakes in the area: check with local sports shops for what's available for shore fishing or, rent a rowboat somewhere like White Lake.

The salmon fry will be coming down through the Thompson water shed soon,,,,when they do,,,,the shore lines right in chase,,,,Campbell creek,,both sides of the river,,,,,Harper creek,,,,,and from riverside park down to just below blue bridge in kamloops
